The Concept of Tamashii
Tamashii (魂) is the Japanese word for "soul", "spirit", "essence", but in a Japanese context it carries weight. It is not decorative; it implies depth, sincerity, and lived truth.
For my shibari it means the presence within the body, the honest dialogue between rigger and model, the quiet intensity beneath discipline. That what binds the body can free the spirit.
My mission
My goal is to share the beauty of Japanese rope bondage, take away misconceptions surrounding shibari and those who practice it, by offering a space where people can enjoy, learn and explore shibari in a professional, warm and down-to-earth environment.
Meanwhile expanding our knowledge by learning more about the history of shibari, and other elements like ikebana (the art of flower arrangement) and tea ceremonies which are easily intertwined with shibari.
